This Privacy Policy explains how PrayerPath ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Local Data:
- Saved prayers, bookmarks, and journal entries
- Daily verses and reading history
- Settings and preferences
This data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted database and is not transmitted to external servers unless you enable cloud sync.
Account Data (if you sign in with Google):
- Email address
- Authentication tokens
This data is used to enable cloud sync via Google Drive.
AI-Generated Content:
- Prayer topics and preferences you submit are sent to our servers to generate personalized prayers and verse explanations
- We do not store your prayer requests on our servers after generation is complete
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
Google Sign-In:
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information (email) to enable cloud sync. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Drive:
If you enable sync, your app data is stored in your personal Google Drive App Data folder. This data is only accessible by the App and is not visible to other apps or users.
Google Play Billing:
In-app purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. Payment information is handled entirely by Google and is not accessible to us.
AI Services:
Prayer generation and verse explanations are powered by third-party AI models. Your prayer topics are sent to these services for content generation but are not retained after processing.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Generate personalized prayers and verse explanations
- Store your prayers, bookmarks, and preferences locally
- Enable cloud sync across your devices
- Process in-app purchases
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with third-party services as described in Section 3, which is necessary for the App to function.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encrypted storage for authentication tokens and local database encryption. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
You can:
- Clear local app data through your device settings
- Sign out and remove cloud sync data from Settings
- Delete all your data (local and cloud) from Settings
- Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
